The challenge

Smooche sells trend-driven beauty products with social proof at massive scale. The storefront needed to surface viral SKUs fast, organize growing categories (lips, lash, brow, bundles), and keep the experience shoppable on mobile.

Trend velocity

Hero products change, so merchandising zones must be easy to swap.

Category growth

Lips, plumpers, serums, and bundles each need distinct browse paths.

Social proof

Review counts and badges must reinforce trust without cluttering the grid.

How we approached it

  1. Homepage architecture. Structured hero, bestseller rails, and shop-by-category modules for fast product discovery.
  2. Collection templates. Built bundle and essentials templates with save badges and variant selectors.
  3. Mobile polish. Tuned typography, card density, and CTA placement for thumb-first shoppers.
